When the sun goes down it all
happens at Cairns Night Zoo
From the ringing of the dinner
cowbell at 7.00pm right through to
last drinks at 10.00pm this is an
evening filled with fantastic
animals, great music and good old
fashioned Aussie camaraderie!!
After dinner our intrepid guides
will take you on a fascinating
spotlighting tour to see what the
animals get up to at night. You’ll
see huge crocodiles, flying owls,
cute possums and have the
opportunity to pat a koala. And
there are usually some surprises
along the way!!
If the night sky is clear, our
guides will point out some well
known southern constellations.
This all inclusive night includes
the famous Aussie BBQ, with juicy
steaks and sausages, chicken, fish
(mackerel – the local’s favourite),
a variety of salads and delicious
desserts. Yes and you guessed it –
Pavlova with fresh fruit salad and
lashings of whipped cream is
included. Your night includes keg
beers, quality Australian wines,
bubbly and soft drinks. Live music
is provided by the resident musician
and is sure to get your feet
tapping.
Enjoy a spot of Billy Tea and Damper
with our friendly Swaggie (an
original Australian bushman). Join
him at his campfire with his friends
the kangaroos, who love to lick the
syrup from your warm damper.
